Dr. Wright provides specialist prosthodontics services for Redding, Palo Cedro, Shingletown, Cottonwood, Anderson, Red Bluff, Shasta and neighbouring counties. Most patients are referred to a prosthodontist by a general dentist, physician or specialist however an ever-increasing number of patients are now choosing to seek treatment directly from a prosthodontist. Either way, Dr. Wright will work the other doctors to provide you with optimum treatment for you.
Initial Consultation:
Frequently, a patient seeking a consultation with a Board Certified Prosthodontist has either a complex dental problem or has high expectations for treatment or both. Dr. Wright likes to first meet with the patient to discuss their case, make a preliminary examination and discuss possible options for treatment. The initial consultation will take about half-an-hour and is complimentary. If you have recent radiographs, photographs or CT scans and casts etc. from your previous or referring dentist then you can bring those with you to this appointment. This will be helpful.
Diagnostic Records Appointment
Should you choose to proceed with treatment Dr. Wright will then need to schedule a subsequent appointment to conduct a more thorough examination, and make diagnostic records.
Follow-up Consultation
After Dr. Wright has studied your records, he will arrange an appointment with you to discuss his findings and recommendations for treatment giving some alternatives and costs. Once you have considered this and elected a treatment plan, Dr. Wright will send you a written treatment plan with a quotation, not an estimate, for his fee for the case.
Medical and Dental Insurance
Dr. Wright will gladly complete claim forms for you to submit to your dental insurance
plans. In certain clinical situations including but not limited to dental implants, trauma,
TMD, severe infection, alveolar bone loss and hereditary developmental cases, Dr.
Wright may be able to bill your medical insurance directly and apply that amount to the
cost of your treatment. These cases are limited to those cases where clinical treatment and
surgery is considered to be a medical necessity; this varies with your insurance contract
but excludes HMOs. Medical insurance can often cover a significant portion of the cost.
Patients with medical insurance requiring Reconstructive Dentistry,
Implant Dentures, TMJ Treatment may be eligible for benefits
payable by their medical insurance for a portion of the treatment
provided that it is a PPO or AARP Medicare Advantage (HMO).
Medical Insurance will pay for treatment of traumatic injuries or
congenital defects.
